Hawfinch showed at 15:15 in big tree left hand side of mansion gate. It remained uncooperative, staying in shadow of branches and surrounded by a plethora of twigs. Later, just after Fred Drake left, it moved to the conifers to the left side of the big tree. Here it again remained in the shadows, hence the poor quality of the photographs.

Excellent! Clearly the best shots yet for sexing the Hawfinch. It is, as first thought, a male.
