This little charmer was the only ray of sunshine on an otherwise very gloomy day.

Fieldfare (turdus pilaris) Riddlesden

The Fieldfare were very flighty, especially when the local Sparrowhawk paid them a flying visit, thus long rang photography and heavy cropping of the images produced my first Fieldfare this year.

Kingfisher & Goosander L&L Canal

The flooded River Aire has caused the Kingfisher to visit the canal.

I was inspired to take the shots of the Mallards after seeing the very excellent photographs of fellow photographer, John Varley.

Redcar Tarn

Popped up to Redcar Tarn to see and possibly photograph the reported Golden Plover. Unfortunately the overnight snow appears to have caused them to move on. Common Gull, Lesser Black-Backed Gull and Black-Headed Gull were at the tarn.
