MORE POND LIFE

I think these newts look more like Palmate, smaller and not as spotted as Smooth Newt, single one looks to have webbed hind feet and spike on end of tail also black line through eye. Can anyone tell me for sure from these poor pics taken through a foot of water.

POND LIFE St Ives estate

These Smooth Newts and about 20 more look to be ready to breed.
Big Toad

My book says this is a Backswimmer.

This Leech was climbing out of the water, perhaps it's aspiring to become an M.P.
