After an afternoons gardening I went inside for a sit down& read of the paper'out of the corner of my eye a male s/ hawk landed in a tree outside the window.I nipped for my camera & luckily got these shots.

SNOBS ON THE HILL

All this snow around & a bright sunny afternoon, had to have another look on Soil Hill for the Snow Buntings.
Tried yesterday but couldn't find them - There were Redwings, Linnets, Skylarks & a few Twite, but didn't get the Buntings yesterday.
Cracker of an afternoon, with them running around like mice in the snow, with myself & another chap in tow.

If you haven't been up to see them, nows a good time - They appear to be very happy in the snow & kept "snowbathing" every now & again, & the most awesome close views.

Having been unable to get out with my gear for the last six months due to a back injury, It was good to get back to it during the recent sunny weather, despite having almost forgotten how to use the camera.The Redpolls and Siskins have been visiting my garden in increasing numbers on a regular basis, along with three Bullfinches.

Such a nice sunny day (for a change) thought I'd try the Snow Buntings.

This was one of 4 roaming in a pack! So there should theoretically have been another 3-4 somewhere.
