I have photographed a couple of colour ringed BHGs at Redcar Tarn this winter; the first one, E5YR, was photographed on 8th December and had been reported earlier by Keith Moir on 31st October and 1st November. The bird had been rung at a nest in the Netherlands on 28th May 2012 and more information about the ringing scheme can be found by following this link:

The second bird, R46R, was photographed on 3rd February and had been reported on 29th January by Jon Middleton. This bird had been rung on 5th June 2012 at Oye Plage, a French coastal reserve between Calais and Dunkirk.
I have also noted a colour ringed 1st winter Common Gull at the tarn this winter but unfortunately not managed to get the ring number nor a photograph. If anyone has any more details I'd be grateful if you could pass them on.
