Tree Pipit at Oxenhope Watchpoint

There was a significant movement of Tree Pipits over Oxenhope yesterday with Howard, Chris and myself recording twelve going over at well spaced intervals throughout the morning up to c1030hr. This one was seen to drop out of the sky and perch on a dry stone wall in the middle of the moor..... possibly tierd, very tame or both... it allowed a very close approach. It just shows it is just possible to get the odd treepip "on the moors!

Good luck with uploading your photos Francis!

I went back today to see how the Spotted Flycatchers were getting on . From the photos you can see there are two different birds. One looks rather scruffy, can anybody tell me if that is a moulting bird , (and is that the female also?) Cheers Stephen
