Fairburn Ings 19-09-2012

I wish I could say this was a local bird, sadly not.   I have just returned from a short break  in Norfolk where this bird was hunting in the field adjacent where we were staying.
 The shot was taken at dusk, the bird hard to detect with the naked eye in the poor light. With a 500mm lens  + 1.4 TC,  camera settings of   1/50th sec, aperture f5.6 iso 1600 I was amazed to get any kind of a presentable  image.

The Chiff-chaff was taken at 8-30 this morning in heavy rain.the Kingfisher app: 1hr Later.

A great morning at stockbridge 30 species including Cormorant, Kingfisher, Black cap Chiff chaff, Garden warbler G/S/ W-Pecker as well as getting some work done.

Dragon flies & sedge warbler






Saw these dragon flies but don,t know their identitys perhaps someone could help? The two shots of sedge were taken at stockbridge on 30-8-12 as a record most likley bird on passage.
