Todays birds

Stock Dove seen at bolton abbey,Female Reed Bunting on the reserve.

Bullfinches seem to be doing well , despite last years appalling weather. Numbers have regularly visited my feeders throughout the winter. A count of five last week prompted me to get the camera out. here are two shots of a couple of birds. Unusually for me, Long -tailed Tits seem to have taken up residence , a pair have been visiting daily for a couple of weeks now, hopefully nest building nearby.

Waxwings brighten a working from home day

Once again I was pleasantly distracted by Waxwings whilst working from home (Fell Lane area in Keighley). This time though just 4 birds rather than the 120 present on 5th February.

Edit:
Numbers had increased to 12 the following day and then 15 were around on Sunday 17th.
