A fortunate encounter with a gentleman and his good lady at the above site on Saturday, provided me with the location of a number of Orchids. Of particular interest was a specimen of a " Bee" orchid, Ophrys apifera, (see photos) which I have heard much about but never seen. The couple I mentioned were extremely enthusiatic and very knowledgable about the site and were obviously involved in its management but were only too pleased to take time out to give me a mini guided tour. Made my day.
On the subject of the blog, all a bit new to me this stuff, but sounds like a great idea. Just hope I'm not making a b***s.
