I have given this one quite a lot of thought but still cant find it. It looks like some kind of a Rustic or an Uncertain to me but I cant be sure! Can anyone help? Photo was taken with flash about two weeks ago when it came in to light through my open kitchen door.

Hi Dave,
This is a Large Yellow Underwing.....the bane of many moth'ers as you can get hundreds in your trap. It's colouration is very variable too.

Don't worry Dave, it'll all come with experience. I'm still stumped by new species or poorly marked specimens...even common stuff!
